“It’s a matter of love” project by Marco Bicego
Not only the fashion system is fighting against the spread of Coronavirus, but also the Italian jewelry with icons of Made in Italy in front row. That’s the case of Marco Bicego, strong of a tradition that has its roots in time and in a territory where the history of Italian jewelry was born. Carefully hand crafted Bicego are a renown icon of Italian style, sought after worldwide and chosen by the most prominent women such as Hilary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and international stars as Sandra Bullock, Octavia Spencer just to name a few.
A simple love has inspired the company for 20 years to pursue the beauty and concentrate the timeless spirit of Italian culture in its fine jewelry creations. “The same love – love for our land, for Veneto and for Italy – requires us today to take a stand and fight an unprecedented social and economic emergency” says Marco Bicego, CEO and Creative Director of the homonymous Brand. At this time of national difficulty, the Company has decided to support the S. Bortolo Foundation of Vicenza Hospital with a donation, sponsoring the purchase of instruments for intensive care.
The Veneto-based company had already stopped production weeks before it was asked to do so, so as not to endanger the health of its employees, customers and suppliers. “We deeply love what we do but the health and safety of everyone is even more important to us today. For this reason we have decided to protect all the workplaces of our incomparable “masters” craftsmen, custodians of the purest Italian heritage, as well as the spirit of this Company and the land to which we belong. Because if you love this land, then you must spend your love to defend it,” concludes the President.
